You know, the more I think about it, the more genius that Nickelodeon-NFL partnership for the Saints-Bears game was. What better city in America for fun wackiness than the Big Easy? I wonder how many new Saints fans #WhoDat nation has gotten as a result.

So while I fully expect the road to glory to be rocky, what if it’s not fulfilling? Is that actionable, attorneys? This looks like a written promise from Panda, after all.

“Every Rose Has Its Thorn” came on in the restaurant. I ask my bride who sings it.

Her first guess: Guns N' Roses.

Her second guess: Bon Jovi

The 20-something waiter got it right in one try. LIKE MY WIFE, he had also seen Poison in concert in the past few years.

There’s a new episode of the Sneaky Good Podcast out! www.andthevalleyshook.com/2021/1/10…

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but the Tillamook Smoked Medium Cheddar Cheese is pretty great.

Like Elon Musk, I prefer Signal over any other messaging service out there. www.digitaltrends.com/news/elon…

A late Christmas present arrived from across the pond today: my new @WytchHazelBand shirt!

Ford vs Ferrari is such a great movie.

It has vaulted into my can-watch-any-time-it’s-on-no-matter-at-what-point-of-the-story-I-find-it category. Bale is just terrific as Miles as husband, father, engineer, and driver.

Today’s my Twitterversary, fourteen years. My Twitter account is older than two of my children, and just three years younger than my oldest. My Twitter account is a freshman in high school.

Which, let’s be honest, is pretty much what the majority of those on Twitter act like.

Today I learned @KarlKGallagher lives just down the road from me, and now I’m plotting to get him on the @bigfatgeekpod at some point, along with @JarrettRush.

Shutting out Canada for the gold at World Juniors! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! #hockeylife

In honor of the Saints' victory over the Panthers, and winning the NFC South: muffulettas home-made by a friend’s great-aunt in New Orleans, and chicken-shrimp-sausage gumbo.

It’s okay. I’d be jealous of me, too.

Was in the grocery store, heard a song playing, liked what I could hear, used Shazam to find out the name and who was singing it.

Lord help me, I actually like a Wings song. I blame the use of bagpipes in “Mull of Kintyre.”

Watched the Miami Vice 2006 film again, first time in a long time. Man, that thing holds up. The use of the soundtrack with the shots is spot on. The visuals are stunning. And no one gets gunfire sound right like Michael Mann. That goes all the way back to Heat.

We have a kiddo who loves sharks, and I cannot wait to read this article to him: “The Predator That Makes Great White Sharks Flee in Fear”

Thanks to @JeffAbbott for the reminder. A Randazzo’s King Cake has now been ordered for our household.

The Tag Team GEICO commercial makes me laugh every time. That moment when the daughter is like “I’m out!” is hilarious.

Over this holiday season, I got my wife and two little guys to start watching The Mandalorian. We got through Chapter 7 tonight, and all three were demanding we watch Chapter 8 and finish the first season. So we did. #thisistheway

2021 is off to a fantastic start.
